Buenas No Chess is no ordinary Chess game. At your turn, you have to choose between two random moves.

The game will try to select one attack move and one defence move when possible.

The chess rules are simplified: To win you have to take the king.

Control

You control the game with the keyboard or by clicking on the corresponding buttons on the screen (it should work on tablets).

Player 1: Left and Right arrows

Player 2: A and D keys

Beginner mode

In beginner mode, you have as much time as you want to choose your move. You can't reroll the proposed moves.

Advanced mode

In advanced mode, the proposed moves are rerolled every 6 seconds. But it goes with a cost: the more you use this feature, the faster your life goes down at each turn. If your life reach 0, you loose!

Very funny game idea, never expected chess as two button game :)

Maybe I would add the option to always move or protect the king if he is in check that you are not completely helpless if the enemy bishop chills right there^^

Edit: Somehow black randomly won after I made a lot of useless moves. Why does this happen?

Yeah, I didn't had time during the jam, but the choices could definitly be a bit 'smarter' so you don't end up falling in some dumb trap xD

I think white ran out of time in your screenshot^^

I confirm. You begin with 100 life points. Each move cost 2 points and if you reach 0, you lose. In advance mode the choices are rerolled every 6 seconds but it increase the cost. If you don't reroll during a turn, the cost decrease (but not if it's already 2, the minimum)
